Printed in black in the manner of Jean Pillement. The complete pattern shows one Chinese boy sawing through the scroll on which his companion is sitting with a European scenery in the background. This appears on all three pieces. The coffee cup and tea bowl carry a second print on the reverse side of a Chinese boy sitting in a hut playing with a hoop and stick with the tea bowl having an extra print of a black swan to the interior.
The original copper plate, attributed to Hancock, is in the Dyson Perrins Museum in Worcester.
Size: Saucer 11.2cms diameter, Tea bowl 7cms diameter/ 4.2cms high, Coffee cup 5.5cms diameter/ 5.cms high.
Condition: All three pieces are in excellent condition. No chip, cracks or restoration.
Underside: Totally unmarked. The saucer carries an old Albert Amor Label
